| June 8 Koji Yakusho may appear in the remake of 1963 "Jusan-nin no shikaku" (The Thirteen Assassins) directed by Takashi Miike, which is due to be released in 2010. So far there has been no official announcement from his office yet but it is rumoured that Koji is to portray the hero named, Shimada Shinzaemon. . The shooting of this film begins in July in Yamagata prefecture. Koji has mentioned on a TV interview program that he is going to join the shooting of a period drama in July.
