| I was delighted to find "Tampopo" and see Koji in a film 15 years ago. It is always interesting to see an actor one likes in earlier roles and I enjoyed this one. I particularly liked his scene with the young lady who caught oysters. I had read reviews of the film and the references to it being a Japanese "western". I was busy reading subtitles when I saw it for the first time, but on the second viewing I began to see the "western" aspects. I also learnt a lot about noodles! (S.H. New York City) |
