| Commemorating the long-waited issue of The DVD of "Hana no Ran" , the NHK TV's 1994 serial drama (Taiga drama) on January 23, 2009, I have decided to set up a page for Koji Yakusho's period dramas (Jidaigeki). (directed by Masayuki Suo) was a great hit, with the result that1996 became a turning point in Koji Yakusho's life; for since that year his main concern has been directed toward movies. Those who became Koji's fans after seeing "Tokugawa Ieyasu", "Miyamoto Musashi!" ,"Sanbiki ga Kiru" and other TV period dramas, are pleased with his success as a world-famous movie star; but it seems that such fans of koji still want him to appear in period dramas now and then. |
