It was one of their children or three of them who murdered Eriko.
While Shunsuke is away from the villa that night with the intention to meet Eriko at the hotel near the villa, Tsukumi first finds her dead in the wood. He discloses that Eriko, finding what he is doing, had tried to blackmail him. So after finishing the children's learning session, Tsukumi has an appointment to meet her in the wood. Then Minako passes by: she was on the way to the hotel to ask Eriko to part her husband. On finding her dead, she immediately wants to call police, but she is stopped by Tsukumi. He lets her notice that there are several trainer imprints on the earth around the dead body; they are obviously children's footprints!
Tsukumi, Fujima and Sekitani carry Eriko's body back to the villa. The parents are not sure whose child actually has killed her, trying to believe that their own child should not have killed her. But all three of them possibly might have killed her; so they decided not to inform the police, and deal with the dead body secretly. While they are talking about what they should do with the matter, Shunsuke suddenly phones Minako to say that he would return to the villa. Minako has decided to lie and say that she has killed Eriko.
After listening to Tsukumi's confession that what Tsukumi did for the benefit of the parents in exchange for money was to leak the entrance examination questions,
Shunsuke is taken to the very place where Eriko was killed. There the parents begin muttering that they actually cannot understand what their own children are thinking.
